On Saturday, March 15th, Cub Scout Pack 53 held their Pine Wood Derby at the Putnam Valley Vol. Fire Department Headquarters. The Scouts and parents’ setup the tracks on the apparatus floor and raced their cars down the tracks, with a good time had by all.

On Thursday, March 13th - driver training was held for new and experienced drivers to practice their skills on pump operations and multi track scenario.

On Sunday, March 9 at approximately 12noon, the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to the Taconic State Parkway for a multiple vehicle accident with one vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, vehicle fire confirmed, members began to stretch hose line and quickly extinguish the fire.

All apparatus and members returned to their respective stations, without further incident.
