PVFD Responds to PIAA June 27, 2014 on Peekskill Hollow Road

On Friday June 27th, PVFD responded to 356 Peekskill Hollow Road for a single car PIAA. It was approximately 3:15 pm when the driver hit and took down the telephone pole, causing the car to catch fire. Driver was transported to hospital by PVVAC with minor injuries.... (Full Story & Photos)

Barger Street Structure Fire & Hudson Valley Parade

Structure Fire,
PVFD responded to a reported structure fire on Saturday June 21st on Barger Street. The responding firefighters acted very quickly to extinguish the fire and prevented it from spreading into a major structure fire. Great job by all who were on scene.

On Saturday June 7th, PVFD members participated in the Montrose parade. The department took home the "Best Non Regulation" trophy. Congratulations to all the members to came out to prep the trucks and march in the parade. Also a Thank You!! to the family members who continue to sit on parade route to cheer on the department.

PVFD kicks off the Parade season with a win!

PVFD participated in the Pleasantville Parade on Friday May 30th and the members looked great. PV took home two trophies; Best Appearing 16-25 in line and Best Color Guard. Outstanding job by all!!

Thank you to all those who supported the parade work details, marched in the rain and the family/members that came out to show their support.

On Saturday, April 26th, the PVFD provided a demonstration on patient extraction using the many tools available to them when faced with a car accident with a patient trapped inside or under the vehicle. They used the “Jaws of Life” and air bags to raise the car off the patient trapped under a vehicle, who was then stabilized for transportation.
