Motorcycle Accident On TSP

JULY 18 - At 2:16pm this afternoon the Putnam Valley Fire Department, along with Putnam Valley Ambulance Corps and New York State Police, were requested to respond to the Taconic State Parkway north bound approximately 1/2 mile north of Peekskill Hollow Road for a motorcycle accident. Vehicle Fire on TSP

JULY 03 - At 12:59pm the Putnam Valley Fire department was requested to respond to the Taconic State Parkway Northbound in the area of mile marker 26.7 for a reported vehicle fire. The first arriving engine (24-2-1) blocked both lanes and confirmed a fully involved vehicle fire as well as fire racing up the side of the mountain. Amanda's Law

FEBRUARY 21 - The New York State Office of Fire Prevention & Control (OFPC) is working to ensure homeowners are aware of the hazards of carbon monoxide and the new state law, known as Amanda's Law, which, as of February 22, 2010, requires all residences, both new and existing, to have carbon monoxide alarms installed.
