PVVFD Annual Picnic

On Saturday - August 20th, PVFD held their annual picnic. It was a well attended event by members and their families. There was plenty of good food, drink and fun, which could not have been done without the Picnic Committee and all those who helped with prep work, setup, cooking and clean up.

Bedford Parade

PVVFD members do it again!! - on Friday - July 29th, the department marched in the Bedford parade, taking home Best Non Reg and Best Color Guard.

PVVFD Take Best Overall at the Brewster Parade

Another great showing for the PVVFD members - on Wednesday - July 27th, we marched in the Brewster parade. We looked great and were rewarded in the end with a trophy for Best Overall!!!

PVVFD Responds to Structure Fire

Financial Secretary Lois Rizzi, July 27

On Sunday - July 24th at 2:00 AM the PVVFD received a call for a structure fire off Church Road. Personnel and apparatus responded to extinguish the fire. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the front entrance area of a solid beam construction dwelling fully engulfed in flames. Heavy Storms Move Through Hudson Valley

Financial Secretary Lois Rizzi, July 21

On Monday - July 18th, heavy rain, thunder and lightning moved through the Hudson Valley area. This caused numerous issues in Putnam Valley with the PVVFD experiencing a high call volume. There were 3 automatic alarms, 2 wires down, 1 transformer fire and 1 PIAA - all between the hours of 1pm and 8pm - 5 alone were received 3:47pm and 4:33pm.
