On May 4th, the PVFD participated in the 8th Annual Children Expo & Public Safety Day held at the Putnam County Emergency Services Building. Members of the Putnam Valley Fire Department demonstrated how firefighters utilize highly specialized equipment and rescue skills to remove an accident victim entrapped in their vehicle. Putnam Valley Apparatus Units 2461, 2481 were on scene.
