The Putnam Valley Fire Department responded to a call for a house fire on Peekskill Hollow Road at 2:30am Sunday morning on the 21st of October.

Using Tanker Trucks to bring water to the scene, members of Putnam Valley and neighboring Mohegan Lake, Mahopac Falls and Mahopac Fire Departments worked the structure fire for several hours.

The Putnam County Fire Investigation team was on the location to gather information on the fire. No cause was determined and it was ruled accidental. Continental Village Fire Department posted members at the PVFD station, working "stand by" duty while PVFD members were on the scene of the fire.

A team from Kent Volunteer Ambulance Corp was on site to assist as needed should any of the firefighters need medical attention.

There were no reported injuries and all members returned safely to their respective fire departments.

Putnam Valley Fire Department would like to thank all those who came out to assist with this incident; your help and dedication is very much appreciated
