On Saturday, July 7th at approximately 3 PM the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a two car motor vehicle accident on Mill Street in the vicinity of Rose Hills Cemetery.

Upon arrival, firefighters had to use hydraulic cutters and the Jaws of Life to free the driver of one of the vehicles. Once extricated, members assisted EMS personnel and directed traffic safely at the scene.

The occupants involved were transported to the Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
