On behalf of the officers and members of the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Putnam Valley community for the overwhelming outreach and support following the tragic fire at 165 Peekskill Hollow Road on Monday, February 10th, 2025.
As many of you know, one of our own, Fire Police Officer Juan Garcia, and his family have suffered a devastating loss with the destruction of their home. We are deeply touched by the outpouring of support from the community during this difficult time.
To assist the Garcia family, we have set up a clothing drop-off location at the office of the Putnam Valley Parks and Recreation Department, located at 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, starting Friday, February 14th, 2025.
Donations of men’s clothing in size large and extra-large, women’s clothing in size extra-large, or gift cards will be greatly appreciated.
The strength of our community continues to shine brightly, and we are truly thankful for your kindness during this time of need.
Please keep the Garcia family, and all members of our department, in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you again for your continued support. Sincerely,
James D Apostolico President Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department |
