On Wednesday, March 5 at approximately 9PM the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Continental Village Fire Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a collision with a single vehicle and a large tree on Sprout Brook Road by the town line.

Upon arrival responding members encountered three occupants entrapped in the vehicle. Firefighters began rescue operations using hydraulic tools to safely free the occupants so they could be transported for medical care.

EMS personnel from Garrison, Philipstown and Putnam Valley transported the three victims to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
