First week of June has proven to be busy for Putnam Valley Vol. Fire Department.

Sunday, June 1st – a call was received for a motor vehicle accident on Peekskill Hollow and Bryant Pond Roads, motorcycle into a car. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital; occupants of the car were not injured.

On Sunday, May 18th, the Department held their Annual Old Timers Breakfast for members with 20 or more years of service. This year we had 14 members in attendance with a combined total of 608 years of service.

PVVFD Supports Scout Troop 41 Car Wash Event

On Sunday, May 18th Scout Troop 41 held their Car Wash Fundraiser at the Oregon Shell Station in Cortlandt Manor. The Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department has a long history with the Scouts. MVA TSP and Car Drives into PV Market

On 5/13, PVVFD was dispatched to a MVA on the TSP with injuries. Driver was extracted from the car and taken to the local hospital for evaluation.

On 5/14, PVVFD was dispatched to a MVA on Sunset Hill Road, a car lost control and drove into the Putnam Valley Market Building. Driver was taken to the local hospital for evaluation.
